| I have a proposed rule change:
I just lost a user game by one score, 39-32. He ran HB streak routes on 80% of third down plays. His HB ended the game with 209 receiving yards on 6 receptions. Now certainly its "stoppable" if I user-guard it. However, it is definitely not sim. It is the same as the rule: 4. Play the game as a real NFL game would be played. Jahvid Best would not be running 10 streak routes down the middle of the field from the backfield in shotgun formation in an NFL game. He might run it once a season as a trick play. Jahvid Best finished the game with 1 rush for 14 yards. This is not "sim" play. He did catch two screen passes, which I have no problem with. But the streak route from the backfield is also AI breaking. All he has to do is tilt his left stick in and the cpu can not guard the pass. I'll have a hard enough time keeping up with him as a user.
Again this may all be stoppable, but that isn't really the point. It now isn't a chess match of football, but rather who can use the AI to their advantage best. Food for thought. It really isn't fun playing when someone's taking advantage of the AI. | |
